At The Carying Place, we believe everyone deserves a home in a safe and nurturing environment. We empower working families with children who are experiencing homelessness, on their journey toward stable housing and self-sustained living by teaching financial literacy and life skills while providing 16 weeks of transitional housing, followed by extended coaching services to aid with workforce development and homeownership preparation.
While we are not a shelter and do not provide emergency services, we are committed to ensuring that families in Wake County have access to the resources they need. Click the links below to find resources providing the following services and more:
Emergency Shelters: Access safe, temporary housing options for individuals and families in urgent need.
Food Assistance: Find local food pantries and meal programs to ensure no family goes hungry.
Health Services: Connect with healthcare providers, mental health support, and wellness programs.
Childcare Resources: Locate affordable childcare options to support working parents.
Long-term success comes from building a foundation of stability, support, and empowerment. Through personalized guidance, education, and advocacy, The Carying Place helps families take the critical steps needed to break the cycle of homelessness for good.
Let’s build a future where every family has the opportunity to thrive.
