In Wake County, 6,500 children face homelessness each year. You can help provide life skills, financial literacy, and 16 weeks of transitional housing for hard-working families in our community, followed by 12+ months of workforce development and home ownership preparation.
The Carying Place teaches homeless, working families with children, life skills for attaining independent living while providing short-term housing and support services to address their individual needs.
Over a 16-week period, these families are taught the skills required for self-sufficiency through mandatory Thursday
evening meetings with their support partners.
Become a recurring donor and help us give our families a hand up and not a hand out by teaching life skills and providing temporary housing.
Here at The Carying Place, we are grateful for our awards & recognitions and are thankful for our partnering professional networks. The acknowledgment of awards and recognition as well as the support of local professional partners encourages us to continue eradicating homelessness.
